Kinder and 6th Grade Promotions Guidelines
Kinder Wednesday, June 16th, 10am -11.30 am 6th grade promotion - Thursday, June17th, 9.30am-11am

Post
  1. Promotions will be a drive-thru event (car-mmencement)
  2. Kindergarten promotion is scheduled for Wednesday, June 16th, from 10 – 11:30
  3. 6th grade promotion: Thursday, June 17th, from 9:30 – 11
  4. We encourage 1 car per family
  5. Students’ names must be displayed on the windshield
  6. We will provide a bag with the promotion certificate and other items – teachers’ choice
  7. Parents will drive thru – following the drop off/pick up

Summer School Registeration
June 28 - July 30 8:00AM - 2:30PM Monday - Friday

Academics and Youth Development Department will be running  summer programs from June 28 – July 30.  Summer Matters programming will include teachers, community partners, bilingual aides, and medical assistants to assist with screening and contact tracing.  Along with arts-based enrichments, teachers will work with small groups of students to accelerate classroom learning.

* 5 weeks of highly enriching programs for students

* Small Group Tutoring Provided by Certificated Teachers

Don’t play an instrument?? No worries!! 

This is the perfect opportunity for 6th Graders to check out the awesome music program Sam Brannan Middle School has to offer!  Check out the website and discover all the great opportunities you have in music. 

Mr. Jeremy Hammond will teach and lead both beginning band and advanced band.  There are even some cool after school offerings such as drum line, color guard, and jazz band. 

STRIDE Running Program Kicks-off on Monday, Oct 14!

Pony Express Elementary is proud to participate in the Sacramento City Unified School District’s STRIDE Running Program.  This project is in collaboration with the Sacramento Running Association (SRA) with the objective of getting our children exposed to a healthy lifestyle by running!

Our December 2018 1st - 3rd Graders

Each month a student is chosen from each classroom to have lunch with the principal.  Students are chosen for a number of reasons from making improvements academically and/or behaviorally, demonstrating a positive work ethic, being helpful and demonstrating good character traits.
